Five Counties Conference 2018

Wycombe Swan theatre, High Wycombe HP11 2XE

Bitterly cold, heavy snow showers and bright sunshine - that was High Wycombe for the Five Counties Conference 2018.  But almost everyone turned up - thank you for supporting the event!

The speakers' slides and notes are available below.

'Getting paid' - maximising returns under your contract (a CIArb Thames Valley event)

Holiday Inn, Maidenhead SL6 2RA

“Cash flow is the lifeblood of the building industry”.  Lord Denning made this remark in a series of Court of Appeal decisions in 1971 and his statement is as true today as it was then. The introduction of the Construction Act in 1998 has led to considerable improvements, but even to this day, trying to get paid remains an uphill battle for many contractors and sub-contractors.

John O'Halloran Symposium (a LionHeart event)

CBRE, Henrietta PLace, London W1G 0NB

This year's series of John O'Halloran Symposia starts in London on 9 May, before travelling to Cardiff, Manchester and Edinburgh.  Organised by LionHeart, the aim of these events is to challenge the stigma attached to mental illness and to raise awareness of the importance of positive mental health and wellbeing.

The first event in 2016, in memory of John O'Halloran FRICS, aimed to be a conversation starter within the property industry and act as a catalyst for change.
